She beckoned me in dark to follow.
Come inside, search for me.
Give yourself to the velvet darkness,
Light a fire, you can be.
She whispered words of rearranging.
Storm clouds the future warns;
Unveiling mystery, a prism iron walls.
Sophia!
I knew faith as a place of sorrow,
Each second, knowing why,
In patriarchal gods creation,
This hell, locked inside.
I never strayed in the wrong direction,
The king is here but the woman's gold.
Some bend their will towards her,
Knowing they can never hold....
Sophia!
Bright light is chained to darkness,
Their struggle creating form.
Great beings they dream horizons.
In love they conquer all.
Devolution, tried to own her,
Trapping hearts and splitting minds.
In the left you will coldly slumber,
Across the bridge, Mona Lisa smiles.
“Strangers” is packed with wonderfully menacing electro-goth—late-night horror movie music for vampire dance parties. Bandcamp New & Notable May 8, 2023
Perfectly gloomy Norwegian goth/post-punk, anchored by a punchy rhythm section and driven by chiming guitar lines and morose vocals. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 16, 2021
It's uncanny just how good Actors is at emulating that Post-Punk synth sound from my younger days.
Each listen just gets better and better. I feel slightly ashamed for not having heard this album until a few short days ago. modestwriggles
